You may not have noticed – but the title of my blog (RarEvents) isn’t spelled right –
I gave it some 30 secs of thought at the time and here’s why it’s the way it is.
Without spaces, the alternate choice of “Rareevents” — Just didn’t look right,
and I wanted a simple TITLE which used ONEWORD and had NOSPACES …
So give it a chance — maybe it’ll grow on you!
TODAY’S RARE EVENT STORY:
A few years ago my wife and I were driving to the west coast.
When we got into Colorado my computerized mapping program froze up.
Soon after, I decided to stop at a nearby Big Box Store so it could be replaced.
Eventually, we found the place, and just as we entered the store –
Who should come in – right behind us? SURPRISINGLY !!! -
It was our old friend Suellen whom we hadn’t seen in years.
I’ve thought about this for years. How can such a RARE MEETING happen?
It’s one of the reasons I decided to start blogging. I thought …
If it happened to us — could it be happening to others?
I have told this story to many of our friends,
and found that they too, have had similar experiences.
Not very often — But on occasion!
One of the most interesting points about this story — is not that it occurred,
but it’s about all the details of what happened prior to the get-together.
Since it’s late — I’m going to leave those details for my next BLOG.
And maybe even — the one after that.
